Open Day Saturday 18 May 2013
the car parking was managed very professionally by Mark, who is normally employed as a forklift driver and helps setting and unloading bricks from the kiln.
Amongst our many visitors we had a lady who found a photograph of her Great Grandfather, George Hudson who worked at W H Collier in the early 1900's
We were pleased to welcome the Collier family to our open day. They commented on the fact that our new product range would help ensure the future of W H Collier.
Maurice, Steve and Sean gave guided tours of the factory and demonstrations of the process of making bricks by hand, a tradition which has not changed that much for 150 years.
Tea and Coffee was served by Jan, Nikki and Lynn who raised over £250.00 for Unique which is our chosen charity for our anniversary year (Charity No.1110661)
