2010 Was an up and down year.  Quiet start, busy summer and a quiet end to the year.
Sales of the new Primrose Range of Handmade Bricks were encouraging.
Price of propane, yet again increasing, this time by 20% since December 2010.
During 2010 we were proud to supply our Primrose Yellow Handmade Facing Brick for the base of The Royal Anglian Regiment Memorial at The Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

February 2010
Prices were increased by 3% in January mainly due to high energy prices. Propane, which W H Collier use to fire the kilns has become a lot more expensive compared to Natural Gas.

2010 Date Bricks are now in stock. Name Plaques can also be made to customer requirements.

The medieval chimney at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, using our Primrose Handmade, was a finalist for an award in the Best Craftsmanship category at the Brick Awards 2009 organised by the Brick Development Association.

WH Collier Ltd is pleased to announce the addition of the Primrose Range of handmade facings to their catalogue. The Primrose brick was a unique WH Collier product in the days of coal fired kilns up until the 1950's. Now with a new kiln we are able to reproduce this colour.
Data sheets are available for download on the products page or by post from our works at Marks Tey.
The complete range can be viewed on our stand (613) at the Homebuilding and Renovation Show at the Peterborough East of England Show Ground.

Environmental Management Certificate
has been re-issued for another 3 years until April 2012 confirming that W H Collier meets the requirement of ISO 14001:2004

St Edmundsbury Cathedral
During 2008 bricks and specials were supplied by W H Collier Ltd for the construction of the Medieval chimney at the Cathedral.
The brick colour is our Essex Primrose, soon to be launched with data sheets and brick panels.

Mineral Working and Active Landfill Sites Environmental Award Scheme 2007/2008
A certificate has recently been awarded by Essex County Council in recognition of achieving the Silver level for Environmental management at the works at Marks Tey.
